Nephew Freds Home
By: Department 56 ®
In A Christmas Carol, nephew Fred is a fairly minor character. He serves the narrative as Scrooge`s only family member who believes in his potential redemption, as shown by Fred’s yearly invitation to his uncle to celebrate Christmas. Fred does not lose hope, and finally his invitation is accepted. In Nephew Fred`s house, they feast together for the first time on Christmas day, and toast the knowledge that there will be many family Christmas feasts to follow.
