Snowflake Backdrop Display

• Using a hot Styrofoam knife cutter, you can easily cut a large foam snowflake (or any large foam shape of your choice) in half and use it as a display base and backdrop for a small house. You will need a surface against which to prop half of the display as the backdrop.
  
• With a battery-powered light, you can position this in any bookcase, window, or small space that needs a touch of holiday cheer. Hide the cord and battery pack in the gap between the two foam pieces.
• Always use a hot knife cutter in a well ventilated area. The fumes from cutting most EPS and XPS foams with heat are primarily CO2 and water vapor, which are far less harmful than other common art products like aerosols and paint thinners. Read all precautions when purchasing hot wire foam cutting tools. Always check with the manufacturer of the foam you are using to make sure that there are no health or safety hazards when cutting their foam with hot wire tools.
